The Mid-Season Invitational 2026 bracket landed this week, and FragneticLab counts eight teams with credible title-contention paths — the deepest field MSI has produced since 2019. T1 and Gen.G headline the top tier on the back of strong domestic LCK performances. The challenger tier includes JDG, BLG and Top Esports from China, all coming off resurgent LPL splits.
The dark-horse cohort is what’s interesting this year. G2 EU is genuinely competitive again after last year’s roster reset, C9 NA looks like the cleanest North American team in three years, and CFO from PCS has been quietly playing the best League of Legends in the region’s history. None of those three would have been mentioned as MSI contenders in 2024. The bracket is open in a way it hasn’t been in years — that’s good for tournament narrative, even if it makes prediction work harder.
