FragneticLab’s tested $1,200 gaming PC build for April 2026: Ryzen 7 9700 ($249), RX 9070 ($569), 32GB DDR5-6400 ($109), 1TB Crucial T705 NVMe ($89), Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P V3 ($99), Corsair RM850e PSU ($89), B650 mATX motherboard ($129), totaling $1,243 all-in including a basic CPU cooler.

The build holds up at 1440p ultra settings on every current AAA title we tested, with 90+ FPS averages on most titles and 60+ FPS minimums even in the more demanding scenarios (Cyberpunk path tracing, Dragon’s Dogma 2). The system has clean upgrade paths — the AM5 socket supports another generation, the 9070 has VRAM headroom for 1440p through 2027, and the case can fit any current GPU. This is the build we’d genuinely recommend at the $1,200 budget for serious gaming use.
