Studio Wildcard confirmed ARK 2 for a Q4 2026 release window, the biggest commercial commitment the studio has made since the original ARK’s surprise breakout in 2017. The title runs on Unreal Engine 5 and includes the previously announced Vin Diesel narrative tie-in, plus a fully redesigned creature behavior system that Wildcard has been showcasing through 2025-2026 dev streams.

The strategic stakes are real. ARK has been Studio Wildcard’s primary IP for nearly a decade, and the original game’s revenue tail (which has supported the studio through ARK 2’s extended development) is finally compressing. ARK 2 needs to land commercially or Wildcard faces a difficult 2027-2028 financial position. FragneticLab’s read: the early footage is more impressive than ARK 2 watchers expected, but execution and post-launch live-ops quality will determine whether the title produces the multi-year revenue tail the original delivered.
