Respawn confirmed the Apex Legends Global Series Year 6 schedule this week, with three Splits running through 2026 and a championship final landing in Q4 2026 in Birmingham. The structural change is the addition of a Repechage bracket — teams eliminated in early rounds get a second-chance qualification path.

The repechage addition is competitively meaningful. Apex’s fast-elimination format historically produced too many ‘one bad round and you’re out’ tournament moments, particularly in the trio-based gameplay where individual variance is high. The repechage format gives the broader competitive ecosystem more recoverable runs, which should produce stronger championship narratives. FragneticLab thinks this is the right format upgrade for the title’s competitive character.
