Respawn confirmed the Apex Legends Global Series Year 6 schedule this week, with three Splits running through 2026 and a championship final landing in Q4 2026 in Birmingham. The structural change is the addition of a Repechage bracket — teams eliminated in early rounds get a second-chance qualification path.
The repechage addition is competitively meaningful. Apex’s fast-elimination format historically produced too many ‘one bad round and you’re out’ tournament moments, particularly in the trio-based gameplay where individual variance is high. The repechage format gives the broader competitive ecosystem more recoverable runs, which should produce stronger championship narratives.
